Our range
Wire ties
Goodwill Engineering manufactures wire ties in light duty, medium duty and heavy duty ratings, conforming to AS2699.1:2000 and AS3700:2018.
Wire ties are available in both extra heavy galvanised and 316 stainless steel for R3 and R4 durability. The galvanised wire ties feature extra thick zinc coating, coloured red for easy identification.
Cavity wire ties should be selected according to requirements set out by Australian Standards on masonry structures and masonry ties (AS2699.1:2020 and AS3700:2018).

Duty Classification based on Australian Standards
We have a wide variety of sizes to accommodate a range of cavity widths.
Product specifications
Determining the appropriate duty classification for brick ties, whether light or medium duty, depends on the specific application of ties on site application. It is essential to consult with a qualified architect, structural engineer, or building surveyor to assess the requirements for wall ties and the relevant lateral bending capacity in the design of cavity walls. While Goodwill Engineering can provide information on brick tie duty and durability classifications, the decision on the required tie duty classification for compliance with building codes and Australian Standards during wall and building integrity design lies in the hands of the professional overseeing the application of brick ties.
